About the Adventure
DaggerHeist is a modular and collaborative One-Shot where the Players choose their own infiltration routes, their objectives, and even some of the complications that will come back to haunt them. This is a collaborative, improvisation-first adventure inspired by cinematic heists and tropes! Come help steal liberate something extremely expensive (and probably cursed) from a heavily guarded fortress run by a paranoid magical noble!

What makes DaggerHeist different?
Build your own heist!
Players get to choose what they are stealing, from whom, which Opportunities are ripe for exploiting (disguised servants? a romantic scandal? a haunted corridor?), and which Complications get activated (arcane traps? rival crews? magic-sniffing hounds?)
Split the Party! On Purpose!
Heists aren’t about a group of people creeping through a space in a straight line. They’re about everyone breaking off to handle their piece of the plan: slipping into the right place, at the right moment, to make the next person’s move possible. DaggerHeist was designed for split collaboration, where each player picks their own infiltration style (stealth, social infiltration, or pure violence) and helps the plan come together.
Improvisation is everything!
The game moves quickly: minimal maps, strong vibes, reactive challenges, and Blades in the Dark-inspired flashbacks to explain how you’ve secretly planned for all this. Success and failure, Hope and Fear, all create new angles, new complications, and new chaos.

How is this going to work?
- You will create a level 4 character tailored to a classic heist role: the Face (social engineering and deception), the Sneak (stealth and agility), the Muscle (combat and demolition), or anything in between.
- You will pick a loadout that fits your role and determines what tools you are working with.
- You will decide what you are stealing and why your crew is risking everything to get it.
- As a group, you will choose which Opportunities are true (advantages you can exploit) and which Complications will challenge you. Shape the heist however you like, your imagination drives the mission!
- Then we dive straight into action. There is no pre-planning phase. Instead, you will spend Hope to trigger Flashbacks (borrowed from Blades in the Dark), revealing retroactive preparations you made for this exact moment.
- Everyone chooses their infiltration route and collaborates to dismantle the castle’s defenses, using their strengths to push toward the final Score.
- And finally, the getaway. You did plan a getaway, right?
